Pythagoras Proofs

Pythagoras Proofs is a task on the NRICH website.

In mathematics, the process of proving involves posing and solving problems, analysing examples, making and revising conjectures, and searching for classes of counter-examples.

This task uses three different starting points, each of which can lead to a proof of the Pythagorean Theorem. As such, it provides pupils with a variety of ways of thinking about proof and a way of exploring different methods of proof.
