Undergraduate Research Bursaries in science

Undergraduate Research Bursaries are changing for 2012. We will not be running the scheme as previously, and instead we are working with other organisations who provide similar opportunities and will provide matched funding for some of these in 2012 and 2013. How to apply

The application process is now different for different subject areas. The Foundation will administer bursaries in physics, chemistry, and mathematics, but other subject areas will be administered by our partner organisations. The subject links below will take you to the relevant application details, including deadlines and contact details. Please note that application deadlines vary, so be sure to check the correct page for your subject area.

Astronomy - in partnership with the Royal Astronomical Society (opens in a new webpage).

Biological Sciences - in partnership with the Society of Biology and some of its member organisations (opens in a new webpage).

Chemistry - applicants should apply directly to the Nuffield Foundation for bursaries in the field of Chemistry.

Engineering & Computing - in partnership with the Royal Academy of Engineering (opens in a new webpage).

Geology - in partnership with The Geological Society (opens in a new webpage).

Mathematics - applicants should apply directly to the Nuffield Foundation for bursaries in the field of Mathematics.

Physics - in partnership with the Institute of Physics.  Applicants should apply directly to the Nuffield Foundation.

Radiography - in partnership with the Society of Radiographers (opens in a new webpage).
