If you're a science undergraduate considering research as a career, you could be taking part in a defined research project for six to eight weeks in your summer vacation.

In 2009 you'll receive a bursary of £180 per week (£190 in London) to help you make the most of your experience, gain an insight into scientific research as a career, and give your CV a distinctive edge.

To be eligible for a research bursary, you must be:

  • taking an undergraduate science degree
  • considering research as a career
  • expecting to achieve a 1st or 2.1 degree
  • in the middle years of your degree
  • registered at a UK university for the majority of your degree.
