Judgment aggregation: A new model of collective decision-making

Dr Franz Dietrich and Dr Christian List will investigate the technical, philosophical and social-scientific dimensions of collective decision theory. They will focus on the emerging new research field of judgement aggregation, providing comprehensive models for studying the formation of collective judgements through voting or democratic deliberation. The fellowship will develop collaboration between a social scientist and a mathematician, enabling Dr Dietrich to further widen his knowledge of economics, political science and philosophy whilst contributing his mathematical skills to the research.
