Paying for long term care of older people

A grant to Professor Ruth Hancock of the University of Essex enabled her to carry out modelling on Paying for Long-term Care. Using the methodology and modelling tools developed for that project (which is looking at the distributional consequences of different payment regimes), Professor Hancock was asked to project the costs and payments for different scenarios outlined by the Wanless Review team on long-term care for older people. Those projections are part of the final report, Securing Good Care for Older People: Taking a long-term view.
