Overview

The Nuffield Foundation offers up to 450 Undergraduate Research Bursaries each year, allowing students across the UK to experience first hand what it would be like to be a scientific researcher. For examples of projects that previous students have undertaken, please click here.

This year, we would like to encourage all bursary students to participate in some research being carried out by the University of Reading into vacation bursary schemes. The questionnaire only takes around 15 minutes to complete, and will help to give a more in-depth picture of what schemes such as ours contribute to student experiences at university. Please click here to complete the survey.

424 bursaries were awarded for research projects in 2008. Reports for these bursaries should be sent in by 30 November 2008. You can download a final report form here.

The Foundation has just launched a new Facebook site for all those participating in Undergraduate or School bursary projects this summer. Click here to join Remember you need to log in to Facebook in order to join the group.
