Contact Problems in Separated Families
Thu, 2 April 2009
The Nuffield Foundation funded Gingerbread (previously One Parent Families) to conduct research into contact patterns and problems among families with separated parents – most of whom had not used the courts to decide on contact arrangements.
The research was in two parts: a quantitative survey through the Office for National Statistics, and a piece of qualitative research on contact problems with resident and non-resident parents and children whose parents had separated.
The research has already been the subject of a report to the Foundation and a seminar was held as part of the dissemination process in March.
