Shaping a stable pensions solution – Pension Policy Institute seminars
Wed, 9 March 2005
The Nuffield Foundation has funded the Pension Policy Institute to hold a series of seminars on pension issues.
Pension policy is at a critical juncture. PPI research has shown that there is consensus on the UK’s pensions problems and that reform of the state pension system is needed. The pensions community wants a simple and sustainable solution.
Shaping a Stable Pensions Solution will begin with a series of seminars on issues concerning the interaction of state and private pensions. The seminars will be on an "invitation only" basis, so that participants can make a real contribution to the debate, based on a variety of different perspectives. Through research carried out for seminars, the project will build up a picture of the possible shape of a consensus solution.
