Celebration events

Those students who undertake a Nuffield Science Bursary are also invited to attend a Nuffield Celebration Event organised by their Regional Coordinator. This offers students involved in the scheme an opportunity to display what they have achieved during their bursary placement, and enables them to meet and discuss it with other bursary students, supervisors and guests from the science, technology and engineering sector.

In 2007 there were a number of celebration events around the UK. See below for some details and photographs from some of them

Information for students about celebration events

At a Nuffield Science Bursary celebration event you may be asked to display a poster or make a presentation about your bursary placement.

To download some information about scientific research posters, click here. This material was developed and produced for schools in the UK by the Science Enhancement Programme and the Nuffield Curriculum Centre in their Learning Skills for Science pack (2006).

To see some examples of posters displayed at the 2007 BA CREST Science Fair, click here.

What next?

If you have completed a BA CREST award alongside your bursary placement, at your celebration event you may be picked to represent your region at the BA CREST National Science Fair.

If you are not selected, you might want to choose to self-nominate your project. You can find out more information about how to do this by clicking here.
