Enforcing egalitarianism? The practical fit between normative theory and law

Dr Jude Browne and Professor Bob Hepple are interested in the relationship between the theory and practice of egalitarianism. Combining both theoretical and comparative case study analysis they will explore which theories of egalitarian justice, and which practices of employment and resource distribution best achieve improvements in greater equality. Dr Browne is a social and political scientist. Through this project, she will acquire knowledge about the legal dimensions of equality, enforcement and regulation, and the interaction of national and international legal orders and conventions.
