Mathematics education
The Nuffield Foundation is committed to improving mathematics education for all. We have been involved in shaping mathematics education in the UK since our Primary Mathematics programme of the 1960s and 1970s. Alongside our current mathematics curriculum projects, we support innovative research and development.

Resources for teachers
- Application of Mathematical Processes (AMP) - resources to aid the teaching and assessment of mathematical processes.
- Free Standing Maths Qualifications (FSMQs), courses for students of all ages designed to enable them to study mathematics appropriate to their current and future needs.
- AS level Use of Mathematics, a course designed for students who want to learn how to apply advanced mathematics in real and interesting contexts.
- Primary Maths and SMILE, a project to convert research findings about the importance of talk into changes in classroom practice.
