Free-Standing Mathematics Level 1 (Foundation)

Level 1 (Foundation) courses are suitable for students who have previously been unsuccessful with mainstream GCSE Maths courses.

Each FSMQ course focuses on the application of mathematics in relevant contexts within a particular topic area (money, shape & space or data) and encourages the use of ICT wherever appropriate. Two FSMQs and a Core unit can be combined to give an AQA Certificate in Use of Mathematics with grades equivalent to GCSE grades.
