Sijia Luo worked at the Department of Mathematical Sciences at Durham University.  She formulated and tested problems related to optimal inventory systems.

Heshan Du worked at the Centre for Geospatial Science at the University of Nottingham. She developed innovative software for data integration of crowd sourced and authoritative datasets.

Jack Miller spent this summer at the University of Oxford investigating neural stem migration in the brain and creating a mathematical model for neurogenesis.

Simon Castle researched Billiard trajectories in hyperbolic polygons and was based at Durham University.

Alan McKee worked at the University of Ulster. He investigated the mathematical analysis of a model for how vehicles behave on a stretch of road.

Ashma Krishan developed an evidence-based response to proposed new guidelines for scanning children with Urinary Tract Infections. She was based at the University of Glasgow.
